Dear Jack

Hi, hope you are doing fine. I am writing this letter to tell you that I cannot continue this relationship any further. You know very well that due to the long distance between us, we haven’t been able to give time to each other like a couple should do. Therefore I consider it best that we should part ways and maintain a relation of friendship from this moment onwards.

I am sorry if this comes as a shock to you but there is absolutely no point in continuing a meaningless relationship just for the sake of it. Hope you understand my reasons and agree to do the same. I have a lot of respect for you and have spent the most wonderful period of my life with you but I am afraid things have changed now.
