I am Lisa Carter and I am writing this letter in response to the letter you sent to my address with a mention of a loan number P78454. There is a mention in the letter about my taking a loan of amount $18000 from your company.

I write this letter to request for any debt validation document you hold to say that I have taken this loan from your company. Please understand that this is just a formality and I need to check the authenticity of any such letter which deals with paying of debts. This letter in no terms means that I am denying any payment to you. Once I validate your debt receipts, I will gladly make the said payment.
