Subject: Solicitation letter for donation to educational program for underprivileged students

Dear Mr Lawson,

I, Mary Jones, am writing this letter to humbly request you to consider making a donation to the special program of our school called Sun Valley High Educational Reach Out Program, specifically targeting underprivileged students who cannot afford to buy books, study materials or pay the tuition fees. Our organization not only endeavors to teach the students in the school about the latest academic developments but also aims to include students belonging to different sections of the society and promotes a homogenous learning environment.

But due to unfavorable financial circumstances, many students cannot complete their studies and some even drop out before they can sit for exams. Our program focuses on these children and hopes to make things easier for them by supplying them with the necessary academic materials and teaching guidance.

However, the funds that we currently have are not enough to continue the program because of which we are requesting generous members of the community to kindly donate any amount that you feel comfortable with so that we can continue to help these children.
