Friends of the Veterans

100 Genesee Street

Utica, NY 13502

Mr. David Fowler

321 Fulton Avenue

Farmingdale, NY 11735

Dear Mr. Fowler,

We are aware that many Veterans are coming home to a weak economy. The current condition does not provide a good welcome to the Veterans who have sacrificed so much for our freedom. Statistics show that one in three homeless people in the US is a Military Veteran and almost three million Veterans and their families don’t have enough food to eat each month.

Friends of the Veterans, a non-profit organization, aims to provide good, nutritious foods to the US Veterans whose circumstances have exposed them to very challenging situations – homeless and hungry.

We need your support to make our Veterans feel loved and appreciated for all their hard work. You may opt to choose the amount: for $10.00 you can help provide a meal for a hungry or homeless Veteran, for $20.00 you can support a Food Pantry for Veterans program, for $50 you can feed a Veteran and his family for a week, and for $100 you can feed many Veterans and their families. You may even donate any amount that you want either on a monthly basis or one time help.

You can deduct your charitable contributions when filing for your federal income taxation. Our organization is a registered 501 (C) 3 non-profit organization with Tax ID 26-xxxxxx.

Please mail back the attached donation form so that we may process your contribution.

Sincerely,

Henry Grant

Fund raising Donation Letter

(Date)

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Evan Smith,

The Student Council of Arlington High School is spearheading a fund raising campaign to support the worthy cause of Better World, a non-profit organization, to build schools in underdeveloped nations. Their target location for this year is Sierra Leone in Africa which has a very low literacy rate.

In partnering with Better World, we need your financial support to raise $20,000 to build a school. We will match every dollar that you donate by sitting on the floor of our classroom for a whole day in November. Just look at how your dollar builds a school: $1 buys a dozen brick, $2 buys a box of concrete nails, $15 buys a bag of cement, $20 buys 6 poles, $30 buys a desk for a student, and so on.

We are all excited to do our share in helping students thousands of miles away from us. We are counting on you to make the dreams of children in Sierra Leone a reality. For more information on this project, please visit www.betterworld.org.

Please send your cash donation to the office of the school director and an acknowledgement receipt will be given to your son or daughter.

Sincerely,

Kimberley Fields

President – Arlington High School Student Council

Dear Ms. Watson

There is no joy in possession without sharing. ~ Erasmo de Rotterdam

Share a Joy is a non-profit organization founded with a mission to spread joy and bring smiles to the faces of children in underdeveloped countries by distributing toys, gifts, and school supplies. The families of these children could barely provide the daily needs for their existence.

We would like to solicit your kindness by asking students from your school to donate any of their toys, old or new, to be distributed to less fortunate children. This is the most opportune time to seek your partnership so that any toys that we could gather will be in time for distribution for Christmas. Just imagine the glow on the face of a child upon receiving the toy lovingly donated by your students.

Each of your students will receive a certificate from us indicating that they are a valuable partner in spreading the joy of sharing. This will strengthen their good virtue and further foster good relationship to all children regardless of creed, race, and economic conditions.

Should you require further information on our program, please give us a call at 904-264-9999.

Sincerely,

Sharon Fulton

Book for a Cause Foundation

Dear Ms. Parker,

Greetings! I have come across your website and was very much impressed with your vision of seeing all children across the world, regardless of economic conditions, achieve more in school and in life through access to books.

You have imparted that majority of low income families do not have a single book for their children – these children are missing a lot of great experience in expanding their knowledge. I am one with you in advocating that reading is core to a child’s ability to succeed in school. But it is unfortunate to note that the exorbitant price of books is the primary hindrance in owning a book.

I was so overwhelmed to know that you provide free books and low-priced books to your beneficiaries depending on their qualifying status. I believe so much in your program that I am donating a monthly contribution of $100 starting (Specify Date).

Let me know on how I could send my financial donation by giving me a call at 510-583-5555.

Yours,

Sandra Anderson
